As the current CTO transitions into a new board role, an exciting opportunity emerges for a visionary leader to helm our client's technological endeavours. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in steering the company through a critical growth phase, supporting ambitious expansion plans and ensuring technological infrastructure aligns seamlessly. Strategic leadership will be paramount as you navigate the technological landscape, driving growth and scalability. Collaborating closely with your 'C'-Suite peers, you will align infrastructure and development teams with organisational goals, ensuring that their technology evolves in tandem with their expanding customer base. Responsibilities encompass overseeing Development, DevOps, IT Controls, Systems, and Networks. You will be entrusted with managing the technology budget, leveraging data analytics to drive decisions, and assessing performance through KPIs. Additionally, you will assume ownership of the cybersecurity framework, safeguarding data protection and compliance across all technology platforms. Ideal candidates will possess:Proven leadership in a high-volume SaaS environment, adept at managing diverse stacks and delivering optimisations.A background in engineering, coupled with expertise in cloud technologies, software development lifecycle, and DevOps practices.Experience in strategic planning, project management, and technology budget management.A solid grasp of cybersecurity, data protection laws, and compliance requirements within the software industry.Previous experience in a growth-focused organisation would be highly advantageous.Familiarity with our client's technology stack -Linux/PHP-based technology stack and key portals.Leadership qualities:The ability to articulate and communicate a clear technology direction.Strong interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring teams and fostering effective collaboration across the organization.Resilience and adaptability to navigate challenges and drive innovation.Strategic foresight to anticipate industry trends.Commitment:Flexibility regarding location, with a balanced approach to on-site and remote work to meet team and project needs.For candidates located off the Isle of Man, a commitment to spending an average of one week per month on the island.
