| Notes | JOB PURPOSE: To set and run CNC millturn machines. To support manufacturing, NPI and continuous improvement disciplines in providing cost effective CNC programmes and manufacturing processes for new & existing parts throughout the Company. To manage the development and prove-out of manufacturing processes and methods. To implement & manage manufacturing systems to ensure a defect free product from all manufacturing areas. To create CAD/CAM-generated methods for mill-turning applications. CNC Milling programming experience would be advantageous but not essential. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: To be the process development focal point during new product introduction. To create production method and routings for new product introduction. To provide sales with manufacturing times, feasibility assessments and fixture requirements, costs and leadtimes to enable quotations to be submitted to the customer in a timely manner. To use Edgecam, Mazatrol and Camware CAD/CAM to generate methods for mill-turning applications. To carry out operator training. To set and operate CNC machinery under production conditions when required. To manage budget tracking for equipment procurement. To provide cover were required within the operational function and participate in cross-functional activity. COMPETENCY: Experience of generating new product methods is vital either via CAD/CAM or directly on the machine using Edgecam, Camware or Mazatrol. Experience operating and setting Mazak CNC multi-axis millturning machines is vital. Basic Engineering knowledge is vital. Generic Duties: Maintain high levels of housekeeping. Adhere to the company H&S policy. Hours of Work: Shift working (Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:00pm and Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm) is ideal but will consider day shift for this role. The company may require the chosen candidate to change to shift pattern work depending on company needs. Flexibility required, depending on work demands.
