Notes Description: As Tax Senior Manager you will be responsible for all tax-related services provided by the Firm, ensuring that all matters related to client tax affairs are handled promptly and accurately. You will also be required to support the Advisory Partner in setting the tax strategy and ensuring successful implementation to enable growth of this service to our clients. Working closely with our clients, you will provide local and UK tax compliance and tax advisory services to a wide range of clients including retail and private banks, fund managers, and a cross section of some of the global firm's largest and most important client relationships, including private clients as well as private family office arrangements and HNWIs. In this role you will need to liaise with intermediaries (law firms and trust administrators) and non-financial services businesses in sectors such as software, logistics, retail, hospitality and property. Responsibilities for this role include: Working as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve wider complex business issues from strategy to execution. Provision of professional services and guidance to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. Provision of expertise to our clients on their local and overseas tax affairs. Monitoring reporting and planning to ensure compliance with applicable tax statutes. Supporting businesses to enable them to improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. Contribute to the internal skills and competence pool within the Tax team to ensure we continue to develop experts, fit for the future in a constantly changing world. Management of a small but growing team of tax professionals, ensuring high quality output is delivered in line with the tax strategy and overall business goals. Support the Partner in exploring opportunities to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and environments. Building connections in the local market and facilitating the creation of long-term relationships with a wide network of clients, which add value to the firm. The successful candidate should have: Excellent management skills and the ability to manage change with a proactive and enthusiastic approach. An understanding and knowledge across a range of tax topics and disciplines. Project management experience in a wide range of business areas and demonstrated success of delivering a variety of project assignments in parallel. High degree of knowledge and experience in stakeholder relationship management. Experience of managing a team of professionals. Good understanding of budgetary control and financial management. Ability to maintain a high level view of the desired business outcomes with the experience to anticipate tax related risks and plan mitigating actions. Excellent communicator at all levels and an ability to manage difficult and complex situations. Strong client focus and quality service mind-set. Effective team player and collaborator at all levels. Resilient and ability to work well under pressure. Analytical ability to interpret data/reports and spot trends that aid effective decision making.
