Notes | Our client seeks an experienced and dynamic In-House Lawyer to join their team. Role Profile: The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring legal compliance across various aspects of the company's operations, including intellectual property protection, contract management, data protection, corporate governance, and general business legal matters.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategies for the protection of intellectual property rights, including patent and trademark filings.Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including marketing agreements, partnership agreements, and supplier contracts.Provide legal advice and guidance on data protection matters.Act as a 'hands-on' lawyer, actively involved in day-to-day legal activities and providing timely legal support to various departments within the company.Serve as the primary point of contact for external legal advisors, regulatory authorities, and consultants, coordinating legal matters as necessary.Manage corporate matters, including drafting intra-company agreements, board resolutions, and other company documents, and addressing corporate governance issues as required.Travel to overseas offices as required by the business to provide legal support and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.Handle other general business legal matters that may arise, such as property, employment, consumer affairs, insurance, immigration, and other issues.Monitor documentation and contract status, and enhance legal team processes to ensure efficient and effective management of legal matters.Stay abreast of regulatory developments within multiple jurisdictions, industries, and verticals, providing proactive advice and guidance to the company on legal compliance issues. Key Skills and Experience:Qualified lawyer with a valid practicing certificate in relevant jurisdiction(s).Proven experience in a similar in-house legal role, preferably within the marketing or gambling industry.Strong knowledge of intellectual property law, contract law, data protection law, and corporate law.Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Experience dealing with regulatory authorities and external legal advisors.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
