Notes | Our client seeks a HR Advisor to assist their team on a 6 month contract. Role profile: Provide professional /specialist HR advice, guidance and support on HR services which takes account of the needs of the organisation, managers and staff, is positive, proactive and customer focussed. Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain effective working relationships across the organisation including establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff associations,unions and/or staff representative bodies.Provide expert advice on the application of HR policies, procedures and best practice including assisting, coaching, supporting, mentoring and challenging managers in their application.Contribute to projects, for example, in respect of restructuring, job evaluation and workforce planning and design.Provide HR metrics and analysis to the HR Business Partners and managers.Provide information to inform responses to consultation documents/Questions. Assist the HR Business Partners in the development and delivery of appropriate HR interventions e.g. training, coaching for the Department, Board or Office managers and relevant third parties.Attend hearings under the discipline, capability and grievance procedures to provide advice on relevant legislation and procedural matters.Assisting the HR Business Partners in responding to Tribunal applications and attend Tribunals.Assist with the management of staff cost reductions that may be required whilst minimising the impact on service delivery.Work with the HR Business Partners to deliver continuous improvement through change.Work collaboratively across all areas of HR to deliver a great service for our customers.Key Skills and Responsibilities -5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above, including English Language (or equivalent) Hold or be willing to undertake further studies towards CIPD Level 3 Certificate in HR Management. Experience of working in an office. Experience of dealing with management at all levels. Experience of liaising with unions or staff associations. Experience in the delivery of training General knowledge of a HR role and its application in a large diverse organisation Working knowledge of employment legislation Have experience of preparing business cases or reports. Proficient in the use of IT packages including: Microsoft Office packages, in particular Word, Excel and Powerpoint and Adobe. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organised and able to manage a range of projects/cases simultaneously. Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy. Ability to act as a team member and on own initiative with minimum supervision. Self-motivated. Assertive and resilient. Confident, calm and controlled even under pressure. Able to maintain confidentiality. Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
