Notes Business Oversight Compliance. Role Profile: You will provide world class business oversight compliance support to the Bank. The business activity of the branch is primarily banking and investment services. You will promote consistent compliance, at every level, with Group and divisional policies, standards and procedures. You will have a track record of strong stakeholder management. Ensure effective issue management in line with second line responsibilities and those set out in the local regulations. Support the business ambition of sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities: Support the identification and management of conduct risk and reputation risk ensuring the right outcomes for clients are embedded in business decision making. Support the Head of Compliance in the Isle of Man in the discharge of their regulatory responsibilities and assist with regulatory relationship management. Provide check and challenge as part of an effective second line of defence function. Provide accurate and timeline regulatory advice (in collaboration with other compliance and financial crime colleagues, as necessary)Produce timely and effective management reporting to the business stakeholders and compliance management. The role holder needs to take ownership of issues and drive the resolution effectively and quickly with appropriate escalations. Ability to manage stakeholders across the business and will support effective and transparent engagement with the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority. You will need to be comfortable making decisions and basing those decisions on the relevant data analytics and insights. Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards. Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications: Relevant experience in the Financial Services Industry. Knowledge of financial products covering banking and investment business Knowledge of the Isle of Man regulatory requirements and a good understanding of global regulatory environments and global standards. Ability to apply knowledge practically and pragmatically with an understanding of the commercial environment. Fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills. Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications: Ideally the candidate will have a high-quality degree level education and a first class general academic track record. Professional Qualifications or studying towards professional qualifications such as the those offered by the International Compliance Association i.e. International Compliance Diploma Experience: A background in financial services regulation, as this will be essential to performance of the role. Ability to openly escalate matters of significance whilst retaining the responsibility to resolve those matters within their second line of defence role.
