Notes UNDERWRITING ANALYST | ref.MF931 Our client currently has an interesting opportunity available for an Underwriting Analyst. You will work closely with the Sales team, partners, and customers both on island and within the UK and will be responsible for establishing and analysing risk to enable sound business decisions to be made and individual and overall business risk to minimised. This role requires strong business acumen, a logical mind, great attention to detail and the ability to digest and interpret multiple streams of information at once. Problem solving is key and the ability to explain complex analysis clearly and succinctly. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Reviewing new applications to determine risk profile and providing summary reports to key stakeholders. Maintaining current knowledge of the client base to ensure data is always accurate and up to date. Interpreting credit risk information to make informed decisions around credit approvals. Reviewing fund requests using various analytical techniques to maximise commercial success. Building and maintaining key business reports related to risks. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE The successful candidate will ideally have: Strong business acumen from working in a commercial environment. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Previous experience of underwriting and credit checking. Excellent knowledge of Excel. The role holder will be a trusted team player, organised and self-motivated with the ability to build rapport and strong relationships.
