Notes Our client seeks a Taxation Compliance & Reporting Manager to join their team. Role: The Taxation Compliance & Reporting Manager is responsible for co-ordinating Group & external resources, to ensure that the Group complies with all regulations that affect its taxation obligations in the jurisdictions where it carries on business. The role holder will liaise with subject matter experts (both within & external to the Group) to ensure compliance by the Group with all taxation & tax reporting obligations to Revenue Authorities world-wide, including, but not limited to: Corporate Income Taxes (including Capital Gains Tax where relevant); Indirect Taxes (including Value Added Tax, Goods & Services taxes etc.); Payroll Taxes (including those taxes paid by employers & employees); All Withholding Taxes; Returns & payments for other operational taxes administered by Revenue Authorities; Returns for client & other third-party reporting requirements (including tax certificates, as required by the applicable Tax Regulations, transfer pricing documentation requirements & country-by-country reporting, Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) reporting, OECD Common Reporting Standards (CRS) reporting, Qualified Intermediary reporting, Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) reporting, other reportable arrangements & third-party taxation agent appointments & information requests). Key Responsibilities: Be a responsible taxpayer, based on professionally executed tax compliance & tax planning which is based on valid business purposes & endeavours to comply with all tax legislation that may affect its tax obligations in all jurisdictions where it carries on business; Maintain an open, honest & positive working relationship with the Revenue Authorities & industry bodies in all jurisdictions where it carries on business; Have adequate disclosure & transparency of all tax matters. There may be areas of differing legal interpretation between the Group & Revenue Authorities &, where this occurs, the Group will engage proactively with internal stakeholders & external counsel in order to resolve any issues as soon as possible; Develop highly qualified tax professionals whilst taking advice from reputable professional firms when appropriate; Manage its tax affairs in an efficient, effective & transparent manner; Manage tax risks within the risk appetite guidelines of the Group; Ensure that the reputation of the Group is not damaged, because of unintentional tax law breaches; Identify & implement suitable “Horizon scanning” processes, continually monitoring the potential impact of new tax legislation; Maintain the corporate timetable of tax reporting & payment, reviewing tax reports prepared by the business prior to submission to the relevant authorities; Drawing on Group & external expertise where necessary to provide advice, support & training to Group operational teams with regards to taxation matters that arise in the ordinary course of business; Independently investigate & act on matters relating to tax compliance, utilising the services of subject matter experts where necessary; Handle tax administration related queries; and Oversee the Updating procedures in line with changes to international tax compliance.
